Best Black Friday 2011 Video Game Sales

If you want to add to your video game collection before the end of 2011, you should check out the Black Friday deals on video games that will take place this week, the day after Thanksgiving. Major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Game Stop, Toys R Us and Target are offering the best bargains on video games of the year.

Amazon has released a number of deals on popular video games and gaming systems. Now you can get the Playstaton Portable (PSP) for just $99.99 or video games such as Split/Second, Tron: Evolution and Bioshock 2 for under $10 ($9.99). Dragon Age II, the popular online role playing game (RPG) is available for 14.99. Amazon.com also features a number of “Lightning Deals” that last only a limited time, but feature some of the deepest discounts available during the 2011 Black Friday sales week. A number of Playstaton 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 bundles are available too, which can save you hundreds of dollars if you’re in the market for one of those systems.

Best Buy has great “door buster” deals this year, which includes video games for less than $30. Titles include Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City, Need for Speed: The Run, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Rage and Madden NFL 2012. Like Amazon.com, Best Buy has some great bundle deals, including the 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle, where you will get a free $100 gift card with your purchase. 10$ Gift cards are being handed out to those who buy The Legand of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Just Dance 3 for the Nintendo Wii.

GameStop has a Black Friday deal on the Xbox 360, selling the device for $150–you’ll need to act on this soon as it is only available through Saturday (11/26/11). Gamestop is also offering a bargain on the Playstation 3 (PS3), with their bundle going for only $200; the bundle includes a 160 GB PS3 and the games LittleBigPlanet 2 along with Ratchet & Clank. If you own an old Nintendo DS, you can also take it in to Gamestop and get a Nintendo 3DS for $100.

Gamestop is offering great sales on games such as Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition ($19.99), Gears of War 3 ($39.99), Forza Motorsport 4 ($39.99), Rage ($29.99) and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ($10).

Target has amazing discounts on the Nintendo 3DS–this year you can get the system for only $145 in brick-and-mortar locations as well as through their online store at Target.com. Video game titles such as NBA 2k12, FIFA 12, Batman: Arkham City and NCAA Football 12 are selling for just $47 each. If you enjoy first-person shooter (FPS) games then you will love the Resistance 3 PS3 bundle that includes the popular PS3 title Resistance 3, a PlayStation Move and Sharp Shooter peripheral for $100.

Toys R Us is offering amazing bargains on video games for kids, including Spyro’s Adventure by Activision. Toys R Us also has discounts on games for the Nintendo DS and 3DS; for a limited time you “buy one and get one for 40% off”.

Walmart is known for having some of the best deals on video games year round, but this Black Friday they are really reaching for the stars. This year you can get a 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle for just $199.96. If you want a Kinect-only bundle (if you already have the Xbox 360), you can get the Kinect with Kinect Adventures!, The Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja for just $100.

Walmart is offering great deals on video game titles such as Bioshock 2 ($10), Pure ($10), God of War III ($15), Dance Central 2 ($15), Disney’s Epic Mickey ($15), Battlefield 3 ($28), Batman: Arkham City ($28), inFamous 2 ($28), Gears of War 3 ($28) and Forza Motorsport 4 ($28)!
