Rival alliances of Facebook, Nokia, Skype and Microsoft are battling against Google, the internet giant which has associated itself with Twitter and Apple.
At present, Facebook is the king of social networking, but Internet giant Google is giving a challenge with its newly launched social networking site Google+.
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook is not much worried as he had mentioned casually that Facebook crossed 750 million users with the launch of it video calling feature in association with Skype.
In the mean time, Google+ promises to offer better means to control privacy.
This is the first attempt made by Google to combine all its services to a social network thereby bringing together YouTube with Google Translate and Picasa Photo service among others.
