Where to Find the Best 4th of July Deals

This holiday weekend will bring numerous discounts from many of the major retailers.  High gas prices and a slow economic recovery have left retailers with an overstock of products.  Savvy shoppers will be able to take advantage of the discounts this 2011 4th of July weekend.

The big guns such as Kmart, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Sears and Macy’s and  have unleashed some 4th of July deals that are not to be missed.

Macy’s has launched a storewide 4th of July sale with significant discounts on mattresses and furniture.  Shoppers can take advantage of discounts up to 50% and an added discount of 10% with free shipping using a coupon code available on macys.com.   Thousands of items can be found on clearance racks as well as within the online store.

Kmart is not disappointing this holiday weekend as they are running a Red White and Blue sale, online only, ending Tuesday.  Free shipping will be available on orders of $59 or more and a number of 2-day specials are listed on kmart.com.  Some of the highlights include a Coby 40” LCD 1080p HDTV for just $399.99 and a 14 megapixel Kodak EasyShare camera for only $69.99.

Best Buy has also announced a 2-day sale for Sunday and Monday both in stores and online.  Some items are limited in availability however and will only be available via their website.  Significant discounts on cameras and equipment as well as on HDTVs can be found for timely shoppers.

Kohl’s is also running an Independence Day sale that will run through Sunday.  Discounts of up to 60% can be found on jewelry while luggage can be scooped up at prices up to 50% off retail.  Thousands of clearance items can be found in store and various additiona incentives will be available depending on your location.

Sears has season ending blowout deals on appliances, electronics, clothing, exercise equipment and more.  Every department is offering discounts of up to 30% and more.  Some of the featured items include a Kenmore electric dryer for $299.99, normally $439.99 and a Toshiba 46” LCD for $599.99, a savings of $300.

Many items throughout the stores will be available on a first come first serve basis so either head out or log on early Sunday to grab the best deals out there.
