It wasn't Black Friday, but hundreds of people waited in line early this morning for the thrill of a good buy at the Junior League Thrift Shop.
Used and new goods were on sale at this 81st annual sale. Everything from holiday decorations to some of the latest clothing styles.
People of all ages turned out, and dug through piles of clothes on the hunt for the best bargain. Junior League members and local stores donated the items.
And, funds go right back into the community, to help children.
Kathy a friend of Junior League describes how all the money raised will be used.
“All the money that we raise here goes toward community programs and this year our focus is early childhood development. We've partnered with the family and children center, all the funds that we raise today will go toward that.”
Any of the items not sold today are given to the Goodwill.
